Gazprom raises gas output 2.5% to 223 bcm in Jan–May
MOSCOW, Jun 3 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom raised gas production by 2.5% on the year to 222.7 billion cubic meters (bcm) in January–May, an eight-year record high, the company said in a statement on Monday citing preliminary data.
Domestic gas demand fell 2.6% in the period, or by 3.2 bcm.
Gas exports to the non-CIS states fell 6.6% on the year to 80.3 bcm in January–May.
Exports to Hungary grew 54.9%, to Austria 26%, to the Czech Republic 39.1%, to Slovakia 19.6%, to France 5.1%, to Italy 2.9%, to the Netherlands 2.5%.
In May, Gazprom exports to the non-CIS states rose 1.3% on the year.
